New Year, New EVs

As we enter the new year, the EV market continues to expand with a fresh new line up of electric vehicles on the horizon. These new models include electric pick-up trucks, SUVs, crossovers and more! While we can’t cover all the new options out there for climate-minded car shoppers, we will be giving you the rundown on some of the new EVs we are most excited about here at Drive Clean.

Toyota bZ4X

Toyota bZ4X

$40,000, 250 mile range, Summer 2022

Expected to be available for purchase mid-year, this SUV has an all wheel drive (AWD) add-on and an expected electric range of 250 miles. While it doesn’t have the longest range on the market, the price makes it an accessible and reliable option for consumers. In true Toyota fashion, it’s estimated that the bZ4X will hit the market with a $40,000 price point–making it one of the more affordable EV options available to consumers.

The SUV is fitted with a solar panel on top, Fisker’s revolutionary SolarSky roof. Fisker estimates that their SolarSky roof will generate an extra 1,500-2,000 miles of charge per year, helping to boost the model’s 250 mile electric range. Coupled with an expected price point of $37,499, the Fisker Ocean is a certified money saver. The interior is made of eco-friendly materials, including recycled plastic bottles, rubber waste, old t-shirts, and fishing nets. This sustainably-minded EV is an exciting look at the EV innovation to come.
